The case for four-day weeks
Schools should move to a four-day week because it improves attendance and gives students time to rest. Students who are well rested are more likely to show up and pay attention.
Many people worry about longer school days. Students get tired by the afternoon and they lose focus and teachers notice this but a longer day with fewer days still adds up to the same learning time.
In the end, a four-day week is good for students, teachers and families who want more time together.
