Competitor Comparison
TeachFlow vs MagicSchool AIWhich Is Built for Districts?
Both tools help teachers save time, and both have student tools and district plans. The difference is what happens around the AI: in TeachFlow, students hand in their work, parents see released grades, and leaders see every school — all in one place.
TeachFlow wins: AI Grading + Lesson Planning
Essays graded against your rubric, handwritten ones too from a photo or PDF, and every grade waits for your review before students see it. Plus a full standards-aligned lesson planning suite.
TeachFlow wins: Parent & Student Integration
Parents and students each get their own accounts — parent updates, student submissions, progress visibility. MagicSchool has student tools through MagicStudent, but its plans list no parent accounts.
TeachFlow wins: District-Ready
Usage for every school, an audit log of admin actions, and FERPA-aware defaults for student data.

AI Grading, Lesson Planning & Student/Parent Portals
Grading, planning and student work in one place — with parents in it too.
TeachFlow's AI grading engine reads student essays, scores them against rubrics you define, and generates detailed written feedback — automatically. The lesson planning suite builds full, standards-aligned lesson plans with objectives, activities, and assessments, not just bullet-point templates. And both parents and students have their own dedicated accounts: students submit work directly through the platform, parents see released grades and can message teachers. MagicSchool grades class sets against a rubric too, with its Class Writing Feedback tool reading essays from Google Drive or OneDrive, and its MagicStudent tools give students teacher-assigned AI activities. What its plans don't list is a parent account.
A District Portal for Running the Rollout
Usage numbers are the start. TeachFlow gives district leaders the tools to run the rollout too.
TeachFlow's district portal shows adoption and AI usage across every school, compares schools side by side, and keeps an audit log of administrative actions. District leaders add schools, bring in teachers one at a time or many at once from a CSV file, set each person's role, publish documents for staff to acknowledge, send announcements to chosen schools or roles, and track rollout tasks. The district report prints or saves as a PDF for your board. MagicSchool's district dashboards and admin controls come with its Enterprise plan, priced by quote.
Mobile Experience Teachers Actually Use
In our phone test, most AI education tools treated mobile as an afterthought. TeachFlow doesn't.
TeachFlow was designed responsive from day one — every tool, every workflow, and every dashboard works on a phone as well as it does on a desktop. When we tested MagicSchool on a phone, it felt desktop-first: text was dense, navigation needed precise taps, and some tools didn't display well on a small screen. In a world where teachers plan lessons between classes and grade on their phones, that matters.
TeachFlow cut my essay grading time from 4 hours to 45 minutes. The AI feedback is surprisingly nuanced — students actually say it helps them understand where they went wrong.
