Documents
- In the district portal, open Documents and click Upload Document.
- Enter a Title, Description and Category (such as Handbook, Policy or Curriculum).
- Under File, choose Upload a file and add a PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel or image file of up to 10 MB. For a bigger file, choose Link to a page and paste a link that starts with https://, such as a Google Drive or OneDrive link.
- Set the Status to Published, and optionally the effective and expiration dates.
- Under Target Roles, tick who it's for, and under Schools, tick the schools it's for. Leave the roles unticked for every role and the schools unticked for every school. With nothing ticked, it goes to all staff in your district and its schools.
- Tick Requires acknowledgment from targeted staff if staff must confirm they've read it, then click Upload Document.
Published documents show on My School for the staff they're meant for, through their expiration date. Staff click Open to read one and Acknowledge on any that need it. Choose View Acknowledgments from a document's menu to see who has. Principals also find your published documents on their school portal's Documents page.
Announcements
Open Announcements and click New Announcement (school) or Send Announcement (district). Add a Title, the Content and a Priority, and optionally pin it, tick Require acknowledgment, or set when it expires. District announcements can go to all staff, specific schools or specific roles. For specific schools, tick the schools it's for.
What staff see
Teachers and other staff find their school's and district's announcements and documents on My School, right after Dashboard in the teacher portal. A From your school card on their dashboard says how many are new and what needs their OK.
Opening My School counts as reading the announcements on it. An announcement that asks for acknowledgment shows Needs your OK and an I've read this button.
Who's read it
Each announcement card shows a line such as "18 of 24 read · 12 acknowledged": how many of the staff it reaches have opened it, and how many have acknowledged it. Click See who for the Who's read this list, with the day each person read it and the day they acknowledged it.
