    Setting up your first class

Create a class with its subject, grade, room and weekly schedule, then add your students.

    Updated October 16, 2026

Classes hold everything else: lessons, quizzes, essays and students all belong to a class.

    1. Open Classes in the sidebar and click Add Class (or Create Your First Class).
    2. If you've connected Google Classroom, choose Create Manually (or Import from Google Classroom to bring a class and its students across).
    3. Fill in Class Name, Subject and Grade Level, and pick a Class Color. Room Number and Description are optional.
    4. Under Weekly Schedule, switch on the days the class meets (Monday to Friday) and set the times.
    5. Click Create Class.
Tip:Set the weekly schedule. The Lesson Planner uses it to show "Click to plan" slots and to set up a whole week in one go, and students see it on their Schedule page.

    Adding students

Students are added on the Students page, then enrolled in a class. See Adding students to a class. If you use Google Classroom, importing a class brings its students with it.

    Editing or deleting a class

Use Edit on the class card, or the ⋮ menu for View Students, Edit and Delete.

Warning:Deleting a class can't be undone. It also removes the class's lessons, quizzes, essays and enrollments.
