    Adding students to a class

Add students one at a time or from a CSV file, then enroll them in your classes.

    Updated October 16, 2026

Your students live on the Students page. Add them there first, then enroll them in one or more classes.

    One at a time

    1. Open Students and click Add Student.
    2. Enter First Name and Last Name. Email, Grade, Student ID and Notes are optional.
    3. To let the student sign in, switch on Create Login Account and enter their email. They'll get an email telling them how to sign in.
    4. Click Add Student.

    From a CSV file

    1. Click Bulk Import and use Download CSV template to get the right columns: firstName, lastName, email, grade and studentId.
    2. Fill it in and drop the file in (or browse for it). If your column names are different, match them up on the next screen.
    3. Check the preview. Rows with a missing value or a bad email are marked and skipped.
    4. Click Import.
Note:Imported students don't get a login and aren't enrolled in a class yet. Do both from the Students page afterwards.

    Enrolling students in a class

Use the ⋮ menu on a student and choose Enroll in Class. To enroll several at once, tick them, then click Enroll in Class in the bar that appears. A student's classes show as badges in the table; click the × on a badge to unenroll them.
