    Browsing and saving standards

Find your state's standards by subject and grade, save the ones you teach, add them to lessons and unpack them with AI.

    Updated October 20, 2026

Open Standards in the sidebar to browse standards from states and organizations.

    1. Pick your state, or an organization such as Common Core. Next time, the page opens where you left off.
    2. Pick a subject, then a grade. Grades run from K to 12, with courses after them. Standards that are no longer in use sit under Older standards.
    3. The grade opens as an outline, in the order your state lists it: the big topics, the smaller topics under them, then the standards. Use Jump to to go to a topic, or search by word or code.

Click a standard's code to copy it. Click the star to save it. Your saved standards are on the Saved tab, with an Open link back to their grade.

Each standard also has Unpack this standard and Write learning targets buttons. They open the Unpack a Standard and Learning Targets AI tools with that standard already filled in.

Note:Saved standards are kept with your account, so they show up on any computer. Access Points (for students with significant cognitive disabilities) stay hidden until you turn on Show Access Points.

    Adding standards to a lesson

In the Lesson Planner, click Add Standards on a lesson. Choose your state, subject and grade, tick the standards and click Add Selected. They show as badges on the lesson, and the AI uses them when it writes that lesson's sections.
