How students sign in and what they see

Give a student a login, how they sign in, and what's in the student portal.

    Updated October 16, 2026

A student can only sign in once you've given them a login. Without one, they're just a name on your roster.

    Giving a student a login

    • When adding a student, switch on Create Login Account and enter their email.
    • For a student already on your roster, open the ⋮ menu → View, then click Create Account and enter their email.

Either way, they get an email saying their account is ready, with a link to sign in.

    How they sign in

Students go to the sign-in page, pick the Student tab, enter their email and type the 6-digit code we email them. There's no password.

    The student portal

    • Dashboard: their classes, work still to do, average grade and recent grades.
    • My Classes and Schedule: their classes and the weekly timetable from your class schedules.
    • Quizzes: take a quiz online, or upload a photo or file of their answers.
    • Essays: write an essay in the box, or upload a file, then read their feedback once it's graded.
    • Worksheets: read the worksheets you've published to their class.
    • Grades and Behavior: their scores and the behavior notes you've logged.
    • Profile: their name, theme and notification settings.
Note:Students only see work you've published to a class they're enrolled in.
